The Azure Collection

The ancient Persian Lasheward the place where Lapis Lazuli was found, is believed to be the origin of the word Azure. The word reached Europe through France in the XII century and was used ever since to describe everything indicating the color ‘blue’ in fine works of art, expensive fabrics and decoration.
